Introduction
A slightly different project management course that focuses on
the management skills required rather than project management tools
available. Identification of stakeholders, defining the end user,
team management skills and motivation issues are the real keys to
successful project management.
This introductory course defines a project, identifies the key
issues for the project manager of planning, control, effective communication
and bringing the project to a successful close.
Who should attend:
Delegates who are new to the role of project manager. It is
recommended that 'Project Management - The Process' course is
attended as well.
Course outcomes:
An understanding of the differences between a project and the normal
management role. The ability to identify the interested parties
and highlight barriers to successful completion.
An appreciation of the importance of team roles, communication and
motivational skills.

There will
be a mixture of theoretical input from the tutor along with
experiential learning and group discussion.
