Introduction
You have just issued a press release and the local TV or radio
station has telephoned for a “live” interview.
Senior people in an organisation or company can find themselves
in this daunting position from time to time and executive
development ltd can provide the skills and training to deal with this situation.
Andrew David (see key people), a radio and TV presenter with 31
years of broadcasting experience with the BBC will put you through
your paces. The use of sophisticated audio and video technology
allows you to experience immediate feedback and to practice the
techniques required to deal with this situation.
Who should attend:
Directors, Senior Management and those who have responsibility
as organisational spokespersons or responsibility for PR.
Course outcomes:
Delegates will receive coaching in how to handle TV and radio
interview situations both live and pre-recorded. The questions
that the interviewer will ask are explored and many professional
tips and techniques are explained. Other subjects covered include
preparation, how to handle the “bad news” story and
how to look and sound good. Considerable preparation is required
in advance and delegates will receive a comprehensive briefing
pack prior to the event.
Teaching
methods:
There will
be a mixture of theoretical input from the tutor (an experienced
broadcast journalist and presenter) along with
opportunities for experiential learning, and practice and
discussion in small and large groups. Extensive use is made of
video feedback along with personal coaching.
