A basic introduction to the art of "Getting the Message" across to potential customers. It is estimated that up to 80% of the money spent on advertising and marketing can be wasted on a regular basis. How do you ensure that you are spending your money wisely?

What should be your marketing strategy? What are the appropriate routes to market? How do you get your message across and in what medium? These are some of the questions addressed in this workshop.

Newcomers to the field of marketing and those wishing to understand more about the subject. This workshop provides a basic introduction to the subject.

Course outcomes:

The delegates will be able to develop a basic marketing strategy for their situation by the end of the workshop. They will be introduced to and be able to use some of the basic marketing tools such as SWOT analysis, The Ansoff Matrix and the marketing audit process.

Teaching methods:

There will be a mixture of theoretical input from the tutor along with experiential learning and group discussion.
