Introduction
In the modern fast moving world, the effective manager or executive
must be able to solve problems and make decisions without delay.
This skill area involves effective communication and listening skills,
the ability to define the real problem rather than the symptoms
and the identification of potential solutions.
The workshop looks at a range of methods for identifying the problem,
the use of creative techniques for innovative solutions and the
planning and communication skills required to implement an effective
solution.

Supervisors, managers and project managers wishing to develop their

Course outcomes:
Delegates will gain practical experience in identifying and refining
problems, knowledge of decision-making techniques and practice in
using innovative as well as logical processes to search for solutions.
We also look at the implementation of solutions and identify the
barriers to success.
Tools such as Kepner/Tregoe, cause and effect and fishbone
diagrams are explained and used in exercises to provide practical
experience of problem solving.
