Introduction

This is one of the key skills for any aspiring executive or manager. The ability to clearly lead people towards your business goals is fundamental to success. This course looks at the various different aspects of leadership. It explores whether or not leadership is a skill that you can learn, or do you have to be born with the ability? We discuss and observe leadership styles, look at the concept of situational leadership and the need to adapt our preferred style of leadership to suit the circumstances.

It is also a suitable course for the more experienced person who has had no formal training in the subject. We look at a number of established theories to explain behaviour, motivation, delegation and attitudes to responsibility.
