Introduction

Coaching staff is an essential skill for the modern manager. Nurturing and guiding of staff to help them achieve, not only their potential but also produce consistently good performance is imperative in today’s increasingly complex working environment where people are increasingly expected to contribute without direct supervision. Closely linked to delegation, coaching is about bringing out the best in people and developing their full potential.

Our Coaching Skills course is designed to give managers at all levels the necessary skills to coach staff to enable better performance.

Any manager with subordinates that would benefit from guidance through coaching rather than supervision.

  • Models of coaching techniques
  • Identification of developmental needs within the individual members of staff

Teaching methods:

There will be a mixture of theoretical input from the tutor along with opportunities for experiential learning, and practice and discussion in small and large groups
