Personal Development
Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Courses
The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) has long
been associated with high quality training and development
of first time supervisors, junior managers and more
experienced leaders.
These are the main programmes that we deliver in
conjunction with our partner organisation Focus Management
for Business. Focus Management for Business is the leading ILM centre in the East
Midlands and we are delighted to be associated with them.
ILM Level 3 Certificate in
Supervisory Management Course
This is the entry level award for first time supervisors
and junior managers and is one of our most popular and
successful courses. A modular approach is taken with the
course material delivered over 12 half-day sessions. This
allows great flexibility as the programme can be delivered
to suit the client. The most popular approach is to take 6
days over a six week period, but equally the programme can
be delivered on six consecutive days if required.

please download the information sheet in the panel on the

ILM Level 3 and Level 5
Certificates in Leadership
The Level 3 Certificate in Leadership is specifically
designed to help develop the skills and knowledge that first
line managers require to achieve operational goals.
The level 5 Certificate in Leadership is designed for
middle managers, particularly those who may be preparing to
move into a more senior leadership position. They will need
to be able to lead larger groups of people to achieve
organisational roles.
Both qualifications start with a short induction followed
by two units. The first unit provides the leadership theory
whilst the second provides a progressive programme of action
learning and a reflective log over a minimum period of six
months.

ILM Level 3 and Level 5
Awards in Leadership
The level 3 Award in leadership is particularly useful
for aspiring team leaders or first line managers who want to
learn about the nature and role of leadership but who may
not have the opportunity to practice it.
The Level 5 Award in Leadership is designed for middle
managers who lack the opportunity to practice and engage
actively in leadership but who want to be prepared for a
future opportunity to do so.
Both awards are also suitable for people who have been
actively in a leadership role but who wish to underpin their
experience with a clearer knowledge of the principles of
leadership.
