Brent Warren MD, Trainer and Facilitator for Executive Development LtdA professional individual with an extensive commercial, business advisory, training and management record. He has extensive team leading experience in both commercial and enterprise related fields. Specialises in Sales, Negotiation, Marketing and General Management as well as the financial disciplines. As Managing Director of executive development ltd, Brent develops and delivers training programmes to a number of commercial, public sector and professional clients. He has tutored for The University of Nottingham on the Post Graduate Certificate of Management course in Finance and Knowledge Management, delivers a number of The University of Nottingham professional development courses and lectures for Nottingham Trent University on Business Planning, Marketing and in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.

In addition to the delivery of development programmes, Brent is a first class presenter and facilitator, able to deliver client messages in accordance with their wishes.

His experience with clients such as The Post Office, NSK-RHP, The Institution of Fire Engineers, The Law Society, ZF UK, Browne Jacobson and PKF, demonstrate his ability in this area.

May 1992 to 2002    

Business advisor and trainer with British Coal Enterprise (1992 to 1995), Business advisor and trainer with North Nottinghamshire Business Link (1995 to 1998), Business advisor with Greater Nottingham Business Link (1997 to 2001) and Business advisor and trainer with the Business Technology Network (1998 to 2002).

March 1988 to May 1992    

Employed by Rover Group in a number of capacities (most recent first).

1.      Export Manager for the Middle East and South East Asia. Responsibility for all aspects of the markets including Distributor appointment, sales performance and marketing activity.

2.      Area sales manager for the UK. Working with Main Distributors to increase sales penetration in agreed territories. Promoted to Export role.

3.      Area After-Sales Manager for the UK. Responsible for a program that successfully changed public perception of Rover Dealerships.

Whilst at Rover group, developed and delivered extensive negotiation and sales control training both in the UK and overseas.

December 1986 to March 1988   

Employed by James Windsor & Son Ltd, Rover Main Distributor as  Sales Manager. Company was joined with the intention of getting experience in the retail Motor Industry and subsequently moving to a Manufacturer when opportunity arose.

January 1983 to December 1986   

Employed by Rowan Motocross, specialist competition motorcycle distributor, as General Manager. Developed rapidly expanding family business and introduced management controls and systems, which dramatically improved profitability.

January 1981 to December 1982   

Employed as Operations Manager for the Park'n Shop supermarket chain by Hutchison Whampoa Hong Kong Ltd. Introduced management training program, updated retail systems and expanded the number of retail sites from 14 to 24 in two years.

September 1975 to December 1980   

Employed by Littlewoods Organisation.

Completed Store Management training program over 5 year period in various UK locations. Was appointed Store Manager in early 1980.
